Women’s Business Center to Offer QuickBooks Classes Beginning Jan. 24
MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center (WBC) will present the QuickBooks Fundamentals Series, which will include two classes. The series will begin Jan. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. and will continue Jan. 26. The classes will be held in the Link Building, Room 323, on campus. The cost for the series is $190 per person, which includes a book and a certificate of completion.
The series offers a hands-on interactive learning experience in a computer lab and step-by-step instructions, not just an overview of the software. No prior knowledge of accounting is needed. Some of the topics to be covered include: introduction to QuickBooks; bank reconciliation; reports and graphs; company file setup and maintenance; and customizing QuickBooks.
Katherine Johnson, an accountant, Certified QuickBooks ProAdviser, and Owner of Intercoastal Accounting LLC will be the instructor for the class. Johnson specializes in QuickBooks consulting, tax preparation and accounting services for small businesses in Brevard County. Her background includes extensive experience in a variety of business management and accounting systems, including QuickBooks, Peachtree, Mas 200 and industry-specific ADP systems.
