Spring Break!

Over spring break, I went back to Thailand to attend my sister’s wedding. My house was brighter than ever. Everyone had the biggest smile on their faces, as it was a week of celebration. One week of nothing but spectacular food, music, dance and color. Traveling there and coming back here in the same week was very exhausting. Waiting alone in the airport wasn’t the best feeling either. However, to see the smile on my sister’s face, I’d have to say it was worth it. Going back home and seeing the old familiar faces was a great feeling. Being away from family isn’t as easy as some people believe it to be.

It’s been a long and tiring semester here at FIT and spending time in my home country with my family was just the break I’ve been waiting for. It was a nice time catch my breath and look back on the semester to see what I have accomplished and see what needs to change in order to get the best grades possible. At this point, I’m done with my midterms and reviewing my grades to see what can be done to improve. I am quite pleased at where I’m standing and have spoken to all my professors to make sure I’m on track.  I’m ready to improve in all my subjects in time for finals.

Spring break also gave me the opportunity to start planning out my class schedule for summer and fall 2012. It’s important to me to plan my schedule out carefully, so that I can ensure getting a schedule that will set me up for success. I prefer morning classes since I tend to get tired in the evenings and find it hard to concentrate. Sometimes you can luck out and get away with no classes on Mondays and Fridays, hello four day weekend!

It seems that most Florida Tech students use their spring break as a time to recharge and get back on track. How did you spend your spring break?
