Florida Tech students were recognized with 20 awards for their oral and poster presentations at the 89th Annual Meeting of the Florida Academy of Sciences held in March at the University of Tampa.
The distinguished organization, which is celebrating the 90th anniversary of its 1936 founding, welcomed 281 attendees to its gathering, including 47 students, staff and faculty from Florida Tech. The university was among 30 institutions represented.
Attendees enjoyed 189 oral and poster presentations.
Florida Tech students received 20 of the 55 presentation awards, about 36%, and one of the eight travel grants. Here are the categories and winners:
